As HR Advisor you will play a crucial role in supporting our people and enabling them to improve the lives of adults with long term neurological conditions.
About us
Leuchie House is a national respite charity which provides transformational holidays for people living with neurological conditions such as MS, MND & stroke, and helps carers and families have a break from caring responsibilities themselves.
You would be joining us at an exciting time as we look to expand our impact and develop our services to help more people. There is scope to develop the role further and we will support anyone wishing to evolve and develop both themselves and the wider organisation.
What you will be doing
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations and working with a range of senior managers and staff, you will manage:
- Recruitment and onboarding (staff and volunteers)
- Processing of employee journey (joiners, movers, leavers)
- Management of sickness absence processes
- Establishment and maintenance of training and development programme
- Remuneration, reward and operation of payroll (supported by an outsourced provider)
- Driving staff engagement to maintain our high levels of retention
- Support volunteer coordination
- Establishment, communication and support of performance management framework
- Regulatory conformity for staff certification requirements (SSSC, NMS, HCPC etc)
- Maintenance of HR and people related data and systems
- Contribute to Board reports and other management reporting as required
- Oversight and development of the HR Administration Assistant
- The chance to develop the role further by undertaking on people related projects, shaping the people strategy with senior leadership and developing relationships with external organisations
To be successful you’ll need
- Knowledge of all aspects of HR practice within scope of the role
- To be organised, with an ability to take initiative and prioritise your work
- Keen attention to detail and ability to provide accurate and timely information
- A team player willing to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the day
- A confident communicator – verbal and written
- Capable in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Professionally CIPD qualified or studying towards qualification is desirable
